Those waves which have a frequency range of few kilo hertz to few hundred mega hertz are known as radio waves.
The most common frequencies which are used by the radio waves are discussed below:
1. HF: – HF means high frequency band. Its frequency range is between 3 MHz to 30 MHz
2. MF: – MF means medium frequency band. Its frequency range is from 300 KHz to 3000 KHz.
3. VHF: – VHF means very high frequency band. Its frequency range is from 30MHz to 300 MHz.
4. UHF: – UHF means ultra high frequency band. Its frequency range is from 300MHz to 3000 MHz.
5. SHF: – SHF means super high frequency band. Its frequency range is from 300MHz to 30000 MHz.
